Does it hurt?
The most common question of all... Yes it does hurt somewhat having hair pulled out of your skin! But the removal is in short sharp bursts, and the sensation disappears as quickly as it came. Some people find it more painful than others, with some wondering what all the fuss is about, and others wincing. No-one has yet run out screaming. The more you come, the less it hurts. It really isn't that bad, and it's worth it.
How long will the results last?
This varies from person to person. You will stay Smuthe for about 3 - 5 weeks, maybe longer, with minimal growth before this (due to some of the hair being on a different growth cycle). The hair in subsequent growth is often softer. You should be waxed every 4 weeks to start with and then the length of time between appointments usually increases as the hair takes longer to grow back.
How long does the hair have to be for waxing?
If you shave, you really need to leave 2-3 weeks growth (about 5mm length) before waxing.
How long do sessions last?
This varies hugely depending on the area covered. See the services list for approximate times.
What's with the bird?
Waxwings are berry-eating winter visitors to the UK and Ireland. It gets its name from the red spots on its wingtips. The spot looks similar to the red wax that is used to seal letters and envelopes.
